SVSG Children’s White Sunday Treat
The young survivors of violence and neglect cared for by the Samoa Victim Support Group received a special treat yesterday.
The children of SVSG’s Campus of Hope Shelter facility enjoyed a beauty session with Samoa’s most sought after hairstylists.
Peata Daizy Pula of Peata’s Salon, Emmeline Ioane of Emz Hair Studio and Eka Arp of Eka’s Hair Salon treated all of the children to a new haircut and style.
It took several hours for the team to style each child’s hair the way they wanted. The costs to their businesses in terms of their usual clients forgone during their busy times did not matter to the beauticians.
The smile they had put on each child’s face meant so much more as each child happily showed off their new hair styles to each other.
SVSG President Siliniu Lina Chang says, “It was just simply amazing to watch the transformation and the smiles on the children’s faces. Thank you so much for this kind gesture. You surely gave the children a beautiful treat this White Sunday.”
