A night of colour, prints, glitz and glamour defining Samoa Fashion left crowds in awe at the LifeCon Fashion Show Finale held at Taumeasina Island Resort in Samoa.
Designers, photographers, fashion bloggers and editors were some of many that gathered at the runway show – Lifecon’s second year running.
Director of Life Con and EMD, Kevin Schuster says the long hours put into the event prior, had all paid off.
“I had so much feedback from people saying that this event was 20 times more amazing then last years,” he says.
Designers House of Gold, Cecilia’s Fashion House, Filipinsew and Judy’s Boutique, Tahiano, DMF and The Body Shop were among a handful of local designers that graced the runway.
Guests also enjoyed a pre-fashion show party with entertainment at the stunning Taumeasina resort pool side.
Schuster says the objective of LifeCon is to promote Samoa’s rapidly growing fashion market as well as giving an opportunity for small related businesses like hair and make up companies a chance to market their designs inexpensively.
“There is an absolute need for a major fashion expo in Samoa because our small businesses in the Fashion Industry find it very challenging to raise the level of their marketing & advertising on their own.
“Not only do they have limited marketing budgets but they also can’t employ marketing professionals to coordinate their marketing so their potentials and work are properly profiled.”
The runway way show finale topped off the two-day expo.
Since the finale night, Kevin has been inundated with interest from other designers and businesses to feature in next year’s show.
