One of the world’s most dominant female rappers in today’s game Cardi B, has re-posted a clip of Auckland-based Royal Family Dance Crew on her instagram.
The female dance crew consisting of many Polynesian young dancers and is choreographed by Samoan Parris Goebel, were performing to Cardi B’s hit Drippin’ at the recent NZ hip hop championships.
The number one Billboard rapper spotted the clip and reposted it to her 25 million followers.
“FIREEEEEEEE. CAME THRU DRIPPIN!!! You girls are too talented!!!”, she wrote.
Cardi B is only the fifth female rapper to hit No.1 on the U.S Billboard charts with her debut studio album Invasion of Privacy. Her achievement follows in the footsteps of Lauryn Hill, Eve amd Missy Elliot.
She is of mixed Caribbean heritage – her mother is Trinidadian and her father Dominican.
Her beats are enjoyed by Samoans worldwide.
